Combative Options is proud to present our new online learning facility, The Lesson Lab. Through the medium of the internet we hope to present distance learning students with another excellent option for their Warrior education. As Pencak Silat Sharaf is one of the most combative and real world oriented Silat systems out there, it is our duty to provide everyone with the option to learn its inner and outer elements. Through high quality audio and video presentations with Ustaz Hussein and his assistants, you will learn powerful combative skills to propel your Silat onto the next level.

Course Focus

Every weekly Lesson Lab class will feature four specific components to further upgrade your combative skill set.

1. Training drills for solo and partner practice. We realize that most of the students that apply for our online courses or purchase our training videos do so in order to train in their private time, therefore solo. This being the case for the majority, the focus of each lesson will be to provide students with drills they can use on their own.

2. Pecahan variations for deeper understanding of Silat. For every technique there are multiple ways of performing it and multiple more ways that it can mutate in the unpredictable environment of real world violence. The pecahan modules of the class will teach students how to change, adapt, and be forever commanding and dynamic in dengerous and fluid engagements with hostile enemies.

3. Silat academics for a strong combative knowledge base. This aspect of the lesson provides students with many knowledge issues from anatomy and physiology to principles of combat and much more. Silat academics plays a big roll in the development of students Pencak Silat and is an integral aspect of a complete study curriculum.

4. Coming Soon! Islamic personal and spiritual training for the warrior. This is an optional aspect of the weekly class for those interested in Islamic learning as it relates to Warrior development. Class focus will be on Islamic military history, warrior culture, biographies, battles, lessons from the men and women of the past, proper child rearing in a military household, regulations in war, Prophetic example of leadership, manners and morals, dealing with captives, and a host of other issues related to the character of Men at Arms in the Muslim military tradition. This part of the class will be taught by Shaykh Faisal, a notable Sudanese scholar and Islamic teacher. Shaykh Faisal will also be available to help anyone in need of fatwas, Islamic guidance, or general help.
